Robyn Wagner is a registered patent attorney who specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and in performing strategic patent counseling. Her technical expertise includes computer software, data and network security, and cryptography. Other representative areas in which Ms. Wagner practices include Web/data mining applications, search engines, and compiler architecture.

Ms. Wagner regularly participates in security-related events and assists in the operations of the Shmoocon and DEFCON annual security conferences. She is also a member of the Shmoo Group.

Prior to joining Van Pelt, Yi & James, Ms. Wagner worked as a solo practitioner providing counsel to Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and open source developers.

Ms. Wagner holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Santa Clara University; a J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of New Mexico School of Law; and a B.S. in Computer Science, cum laude, from the University of New Mexico.
